Stretching along the Hai Van mountain range, the Hai Van Pass stands 500m above sea level, marking the border between Thua Thien - Hue province and Da Nang city. When stopping here, King Le Thanh Tong bestowed upon it the title of "The foremost majestic pass in the world."
Hai Van Pass is one of the most beautiful and impressive coastal mountain passes in the world. The Hai Van route is winding and curvy, standing out amidst the vast green mountains. Sometimes it curves and twists along the mountain range. Other times, it unexpectedly turns, creating fascinating zigzag paths. With one side being tall mountains and the other side being the vast sea, Hai Van forms a magnificent natural landscape that captivates people's hearts. It is a marvelous masterpiece of nature and a remarkable achievement of human craftsmanship.

Then, you will feel nervous and worried as you navigate the winding and twisting roads of the pass. Hai Van Pass is known as the most dangerous pass in Vietnam. This brings interesting and challenging experiences to tourists. And then, you will be amazed by the breathtaking natural scenery. From the top of the pass, you can have a panoramic view of the sky, with Bach Ma Range hidden behind the mist, the North-South railway winding below, and further away, the blue sea touching the horizon. Standing on the north side of the pass, you can see fishing villages and the emerald green Lang Co Bay with its long stretch of white sand, as beautiful as a painting. On the south side of the pass is the city of Da Nang, Tien Sa Port, Cham Island, and Son Tra Peninsula, all seen from above in vibrant green.
